H & Al have been friends for many a year, both Black Country lads, born and bred in Walsall, they met through their wives who taught at the same school. They realised that they had seen each other before (as it turned out at the home games of their beloved Walsall FC). Soon they knew they shared a passion for music too!
In the early days H was always pestering Al to get back into drumming, he was keen to pick his guitars up, so they could (as he so eloquently put it), "make some noise". However work, family and life in general always seemed to get in the way.
Then in December 2013, Al was diagnosed with Cancer, a form which unfortunately cannot be cured, it's progression can be slowed with regular treatments, which continue to this day. Al told H the news while having a beer in a local hostelry, he proclaimed in his own inimitable way, "No excuses now, pull your finger out and get that drum kit, we need to make some noise!" He then marched off to the bar to get more beer!
Al subsequently extracted the digit, and in January 2014, HAL was born.......
In August of 2021 Steve Biggs returned to the fold on Guitar, he had played with us previously
on the 'Camaraderie' album and live shows.
